T 5.49 Abuse of source routing

The abuse of the routing mechanism and protocol is a very simple protocol-based attack option. Within an IP package, the route the package must take in order to arrive at its destination or the response packages must take can be specified. However, it is possible to manipulate the description of the route during transmission so that the secure routes specified by the routing entries are not used (e.g. using the firewall), but other uncontrolled routes are used.
