Lab 8 - Exhaustive Search

  1. Open your Homework 7 on a classroom computer using IntelliJ or any other available IDE.
  2. Provide the program with the following three words as input: {"ABCDEFGHIJAB", "ABCDEFGHIJA", "ACEHJBDFGIAC"} and run Puzzle.java. Measure the approximate runtime. The program must find exactly two solutions. If it does not, correct the program.
  3. Provide the program with the following three words as input: {"CBEHEIDGEI", "CBEHEIDGEI", "BBBBBBBBBB"} and run Puzzle.java. The program must not find any solutions.
  4. Demonstrate your program on the classroom computer.
  5. Ask any questions you have about the exam, as this is the last meeting before the exam.
  6. Take the self-test in Moodle as many times as needed until you achieve a score of at least 80%.
  7. Register for the exam in SIS.
  8. Complete the Moodle assignment “Homework 7 Defense”.
