T 3.24 Inadvertent manipulation of data
The more extensive the access rights on a database for a specific user, the greater the risk of inadvertent manipulation of data. In principle, this cannot be prevented by any application. The basic causes of unintentional manipulations to data include, for example:
- the lack of or poor technical knowledge,
- the lack of or poor knowledge of the application,
- access rights that are granted too widely,
- negligence (e.g. leaving a workstation without correct termination of the application).
