Initiation responsibility: Head of IT, IT Security Officer
Implementation responsibility: IT Security Officer
Lotus Notes/Domino is a highly complex platform. Depending on the size/complexity of the existing Lotus Notes/Domino environment(s) in the company or government agency and the range of the functions/services used, it imposes high requirements on the Lotus Notes/Domino-related knowledge of the persons responsible and users accordingly.
By means of adequate training courses for specific target groups, it must ensured that the skills and knowledge of the architecture and security architecture of the platform, the appropriate configuration, platform-specific operational issues and, if required, the application development for the Lotus Notes/Domino platform and for the application integration using the Lotus Notes/Domino platform are available.
The target groups for Lotus Notes/Domino training courses with different main aspects are as follows:
- Managers (training content: overview training)
- Information security management (training contents: Lotus Notes/Domino-specific security architecture and security mechanisms)
- Administrators (training contents: basics of the Lotus Notes/Domino architecture, operation, parameter settings, backup/recovery)
- System and software architects, system integrators (training contents: architectures in the Lotus Notes/Domino environment and Lotus Notes/Domino interfaces)
- Development managers, software developers (training contents: Lotus Notes/Domino-specific development tools (Designer) and tried and tested application development methods in the Lotus Notes/Domino environment both for the area of proprietary Notes and the Eclipse-based further development)
- Lotus Notes/Domino users in general (training contents: changes in the new Lotus Notes versions, productivity-enhancing training courses, communication of user-related security aspects)
Review questions:
