In order to reduce the threat of attacks on local data or computers in the LAN from the Internet, it is advisable to use computers which only have an Internet connection and no further network connection to a LAN.
For this purpose, the different operating systems offer various options for ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of data, each of which carries specific threats.
