When the PBX system fails entirely or even only partially, it may be impossible to communicate any more over the outside lines connected to the PBX system. In order to be able to obtain help in spite of this, it is useful to set up an entirely separate connection for basic access or an analogue telephone connection.

• Is there a regulation regarding a contingency plan for failure of the PBX system?
• Failure of the PBX system: Is there a redundant communication facility over dedicated channels or lines?
